Fred Klapetzky, CISSP

 

Current Responsibilities

Fred is the Founder and Principal Consultant for A Going Concern Consulting Services.  He is responsible for consulting leadership on all projects for the company.    

Experience

Fred has been working in corporate operations, information systems, and disaster recovery/business continuity since 1981.  Prior to founding A Going Concern Consulting Services, Fred was a managing Director and National Practice Leader for Marsh Risk Consulting’s Business Continuity Practice; a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, where he was the Midwest Area leader for Ernst & Young’s Recover Practice; and a regional information security manager and facility security officer for Lockheed Martin.


Fred has performed technology and business continuity assessments, evaluations, designs and planning for Higher Education, Airports, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Insurance, Health Care, Pharmaceutical, Publishing, Real Estate, Retail, Telecommunications, and e-commerce clients.  He provides active assistance on all consulting projects for the practice area.  Fred also has completed several data-center redesign and consolidation activities to provide increased scalability, improved system availability, and improved business operations.


Fred has developed and presented courses at Secure 360, the Disaster Recovery Journal and CPM trade shows, Business Continuity Planning Associations, STRIMA and PRIMA state and national meetings, RIMS state meetings, and customized seminars for Clients.

 

Over his career Fred has managed numerous multi-million dollar projects with the United States Government and Fortune 50 companies.  


Fred, a former federal special agent and pioneer in Computer Crime Investigations, helped develop many of the methods and techniques in use today by federal, state and local law enforcement. His eleven years of service as an officer in the United States Air Force, his business operations, security knowledge and technology capabilities make him uniquely qualified to assess and recommend improvements in facilities, networks, and business operations.

Enterprise Risk Management, Continuity & Availability: All tasks and areas including strategic risk evaluation and assessment,  business impact assessment, strategy development, plan creation, high availability design and implementation, training and awareness program development.


Enterprise Systems Management: Diagnostics and storage management, records management, classification management, policies and procedures development.


Data Center Consolidation and Design Activities:  Facilities design, security design, availability design, estimating financial impact of design changes, estimating financial impact of consolidation and changes in operations.


Information Security Program Design and Implementation: All phases of designing a program, writing and implementing policies and procedures, implementing the program and developing training and awareness programs.
